What measurement range and accuracy do HANMATEK laser distance meters offer?
Our models cover 0.05 m to 100 m (165 ft to 328 ft). Typical accuracy is ±1.5 mm (±0.06 in) across the entire range, with some units achieving ±1 mm under ideal conditions. All use Class II 635 nm red laser for safe, fast, and reliable readings.
-
Can these laser distance meters be used outdoors in bright sunlight?
Yes. All models feature a strong laser and high-quality optics for good visibility up to 40–60 m in daylight. For distances beyond 60 m or in very bright conditions, simply use the built-in digital viewfinder (2×–4× zoom) or the included reflective target plate for maximum range.
-
What functions are available besides simple distance measurement?
Common built-in features include: Area, volume, and indirect height (Pythagoras) calculation Continuous/max/min tracking Addition & subtraction of measurements Painter’s area function (automatic wall surface calculation) 20–99 groups data memory Angle/inclination sensor (±90°) for indirect height & horizontal distance Timer (3–15 s) for stable single-person measurement
-
Are the units durable enough for construction sites?
Absolutely. Every HANMATEK laser distance meter is IP54 dust- and splash-proof, with rubberized housing that survives 1.5 m drops. They operate reliably from 0°C to +40°C and come with a protective carrying pouch.
