Easy to use with a case
My old school resistance battery tester decided to internally melt it's wires - so I'd thought I'd try a fancy "digital" one. I only use a tester twice a year, in the spring when installing batteries into my boat and motorcycle, and in the fall when removing them for storage. I also test my car batteries in the fall to see if they will up to the task in the winter time.

What Needs Improvement;
-Understanding what you see in the abbreviated menus requires a bit of technical knowledge. Understanding basic electricity like amps, volts, watts. etc.
-Read the manual first, to understand what the menus are technically asking. It's not fully apparent.
-The clamps are plastic, so don't drop, smash, or step on them against the concrete.
Overall, I like it much more than my old school resistance type tester. It's much smaller, and has a case which holds the manual and all cables.

Uno strumento solitamente in uso agli elettrauti, ma valido anche per il fai da te grazie all'utilizzo semplice e veloce, purché si imposti correttamente la capacità della batteria al piombo secondo le indicazioni presenti sulla stessa.
Può provare batterie al piombo da 12V e 24V, nonché quelle di alcuni
veicoli elettrici. E' compatibile con batterie classiche, AGM, GEL, EFB, ma anche batterie di UPS.
Ho effettuato delle misurazioni su varie batterie da 12V di un paio di veicoli diesel e i risultati mi hanno un po' sorpreso, ma comunque li ritengo validi:
- batteria fresca (circa 1 mese di vita) da 74Ah: mi ha restituito una capacità pari al 73%. Sull'auto ho effettuato anche il test avviamento, il test di carico e il test di carica, senza riscontrare anomalie su alternatore e circuito di carica.
- batteria scarica (sostituita sul veicolo dalla precedente): da un primo test risultava carica bassa, dopo averla ricaricata lo strumento mi ha segnalato che la batteria è da sostituire.
- batteria da 72Ah, con 4 anni di vita, ricaricata di recente: restituisce uno stato normale con efficienza del 100%. Ho solo qualche dubbio sui parametri, in quanto è una batteria giapponese. Utilizzando lo standard JIS, riporta comunque una buona efficienza (87%).
Lo strumento, dopo aver impostato i parametri della batteria, consente di effettuare 4 tipi diversi di test:
1. stato della batteria, misura la tensione, la capacità e la resistenza interna, restituendo un valore di efficienza e altre informazioni (es.: se è necessario ricaricare la batteria o se è da sostituire);
2. Test avviamento: verifica se la batteria ha sufficiente potenza per avviare il motore del veicolo;
3. Test di carico, da effettuare ad auto in moto tenendolo tra i 2000 e 2500 giri/min, serve per verificare lo stato del sistema di ricarica del veicolo e informare in caso di anomalie che possano generare sovraccarichi o altri problemi.
4. test di carica, misura l'efficienza dell'alternatore nel caricare correttamente la batteria, si effettua con motore acceso tenendolo tra 2500 e 3000 giri/min.
Tutti i test sono piuttosto rapidi, vengono completati in 3-5 secondi.
Il display LCD a colori è ben leggibile pur essendo i caratteri di piccole dimensioni, è possibile selezionare la lingua tra 8 disponibili, italiano incluso. E' possibile inoltre impostare l'orario. La luminosità è regolabile e con lo stesso pulsante è possibile disattivare i beep.
Lo strumento è dotato di una piccola stampante a inchiostro termico simile a quelle dei POS, molto comoda per utilizzi professionali per fornire al cliente l'esito delle prove effettuate. Per utilizzi hobbistici probabilmente non verrà mai utilizzata.
Viene fornita in una comoda borsetta semi rigida, insieme al manuale di istruzioni (che include la lingua italiana) e ad un cavetto USB-C per la ricarica della batteria interna.
Complessivamente uno strumento che può essere molto utile per tenere sotto controllo l'efficienza delle proprie batterie e quando si acquistano di nuove.

The one thing I wish it came with was more specific users manual. I think most people are moving up from simpler analogue scopes due to the price point and are not used to have the features available on such a complex device.
